Chanel é a marca de vestuário mais famosa do mundo. No entanto para entender Chanel é necessário conhecer a história de Coco e compreender que a marca vende mais do que peças, um conceito desenvolvido com muito suor e lutar por Gabrielle Bonheur Chanel, a Coco Chanel.

De família humilde, Coco, que nasceu em Saumur, França, foi tentar a sorte em Paris, mas devido a sua baixa estatura, não conseguiu realizar seu sonho de sucesso no teatro. Mesmo assim conquistou o coração do rico herdeiro Etienne Balsan, começando a conquistar espaço na elite. No entanto, foi em 1910 que conheceu o amor da sua vida: o milionário inglês Artur Capel, com quem se casou e foi nessa época que ela fundou sua chapelaria. Capel faleceu e Chanel abriu sua loja de costuras.

From humble family, Coco, who was born in Saumur, France, was to try her luck in Paris, but owing to her stature, she could not fulfill her dream of success in the theater. Os perfumes da marca também se tornaram clássicos, sendo o número 5, um dos mais vendidos de todo o mundo e famoso por ser o preferido de Marilyn Monroe. Na foto acima, o meu preferido da marca: Mademoiselle (único item Chanel que eu tenho lol), lançado em 2001 para o público jovem.

A sede da marca na Place de Vendome em Paris (eu fui lá... saudades desse dia). Detalhe, no reflexo da foto está o Hotel Ritz, onde Coco faleceu em 1971, ela morava lá.
